Formed in 2016, we are an independent provider of systems integration (automation and control), electrical design, electrical consulting and functional safety services to industry. Our head office and workshop is located in Padstow in Sydney, NSW.

Process, Electrical and Mechanical design of a bulk corn weighing system for an Australian customer. Weighing 15kg boxes from a bulk supply of frozen corn at 7 cartons per minute and better than 3% accuracy above the target weight. Replaced an existing manual system and reduced headcount as well as reducing footprint, supporting installation of a new high speed packing line in the same facility.
Design, installation, programming and validation of a safety upgrade for a tray loading and unloading system for pouches into retorts. A short lead time to complete the design and installation was achieved by Radium to meet customer needs.
The main risk with brownfield jobs like this is the operators having difficulty with the new system and issues with existing control. We ensured our design and investigation stages on site captured existing processes and delivered a seamless upgrade of new safety functionality and interlocks without impacting production performance or machine reliability.
Installation of over 300m of new underground cabling for 132kW and 55kW VSD's, including ancillary site systems. A clean install in quick time, without incident or performance issues. Fully compliant with NSW mining standards and legislation including minimising cost to the client by re-using existing distribution infrastructure that other parties wanted to replace.

Working with our clients mechanical design team, we developed a complete control and automation system for an autonomous material router. This machine follows moving material and makes multiple penetrations in it with better than 0.5mm accuracy. Design, program, assemble and commission - an end to end solution.
Upgrade of 1996 Heinzmann generator control system to a ComAp Inteligen 500 system. Full automatic synchronisation of 2 x 380kW generators onto a common bus to deliver critical power to ICU's, surgical theaters. Complete without loss of backup generators during the 2022 Floods.
Development of an Audio based non-lethal predator deterrent for trials in the Myall Lakes Dingo Project. Supporting UNSW BEES and Taronga Zoo, we developed, programmed and assembled 6 self contained field cases to operate autonomously and with a random audio playback pattern. User configurable, onboard logging and low power consumption to run off solar and a LiFePo battery.
Design, construct, program, install and commission a diesel control system for a central Sydney building backup generator. The end client was so impressed with the time frame and work, the project scope extended to design/program/install a priority based load shed system.
Electrical design, motion analysis and software development for 2 high speed guillotines. Client developed mechanical design. Client requirement was for 500 cut per minute, we delivered 560. Client provided the incorrect gearboxes against our design advice. Gearbox were ultimately upgraded as the installed units had a theoretical limit under 480cuts per minute. Allowing the end user to make 10mm cuts with better than 0.5mm accuracy @ 550 cuts per minute.
